This series continues to be the shining example of how to do a crossover properly! Read Full Review

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES/GHOSTBUSTERS #3 is a good dose of spectacle and banter. Sure, the material with Chi-You doesn't feel all that original or compelling and the plot isn't producing any jaw-droppers or noticeable twists, but the story brings about some exciting scenarios, lovable dynamics, and, of course, some incredibly good looking action sequences. It's looking like this limited series technically won't be mandatory reading to further appreciate either series (TMNT has already moved past this event and, sadly, the Ghostbusters no longer have a series), but that really shouldn't stop you from embracing something that's pretty much pure fun and has pages that are just oozing liveliness. A tip of the hat must also go to the writing team of Erik Burnham and Tom Waltz, who continue to do an admirable job of squeezing eight main characters, a supporting cast, and a major villain into the story, whilst continually pushing the plot forward and keeping the action fast and furious. Of course, some relationships are more central to the plot, but each and every character is shrewdly afforded a degree of panel space and no-one feels superfluous. Read Full Review

All in all, the worst this series will end up being is a very fun and enjoyable diversion for both franchise's fans. When it comes to crossovers (which are typically terrible), that's a commendable success. Read Full Review

So far in the story, there has been a test of power, a test of the mind and what will come next is sure to be a test of will as the two teams need to come up with a final solution (there is one issue left so they need to wrap it up, sadly). This particular issue is again full of nostalgia and fan boy pleasing moments, from Mikey playing with Ecto-1, to the wink and nudge reference to the turtle blimp. The theme of this series so far has been using the characters to bond with their counterparts in the other team, which is another tool to make this story flow naturally and without force. It has been fun seeing the small quirks of each personality come out in the story, but I feel like it is time for a larger event with some kind of wow factor. Read Full Review

The strong points are the artwork and the dialog, very fun. Where this falls short is the action, it feels a little staged and each encounter is rather hollow. One of the problems with many Ghostbusters stories is the repetitive "discover new knowledge or tech to take down the bad guy of the day" formula and, unfortunately, this issue is falling into that trope.
