Usagi Yojimbo, honorable samurai and rabbit out of time, has been stuck in New York City ever since one of Donatello's experiments with a transdimensional portal went awry. Usagi has grown to appreciate the city, his friends in the Turtles, and most of all, pizza, but he still wants to return to his own dimension more than anything. When Donatello finally finds a way for Usagi to do just that, the rabbit warrior invites the Turtles to visit his home... where they find a dangerous new enemy. It's the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Usagi Yojimbo together again in a whole new dimension!
This 40 page one-shot read just like a perfect episode. It takes me back to the feeling of sitting in front of the massive console TV set in the living room with a bowl of sugar-frosted sugar puffs with marshmallows, of course. Burnham delivers a solid story, and the art by Lawrance, which is filled with color from Delgado, is perfect! Read Full Review

A pretty fun story. It drags on a little and would've been more fitting as a story in the regular series, but I guess IDW does need to keep putting out these $6 specials due to all the revenue it's losing.
Anyhoo, it was a great way to provide closure to Usagi's story fro the show. I was always disappointed he never returned anymore after his 2 S3 appearances. It's nice to see he could return home and at the end it shows they'll keep in touch, so it doesn't mean they have to say goodbye for good. I'd really love to one day see Usagi included in a big heroes vs. villains brawl like I used to make up playing with all my old figures as a kid.
The SMA series is all I really follow in regards to the Turtles, and it's the best I've see more
