The plant-astic villain SNAKEWEED returns! With the entire city in jeopardy, the Turtles will have to split up and race against the clock! Only some quick thinking from our favorite brothers will save the day this time!
All the characters are pretty much the same which shouldn't sound like a bad thing. It works surprisingly well, but Mikey brings home the cake with his one liners. He and Raphael couldn't be a better comedic team. I couldn't see kids and parents not getting hyped up about this series. The suitably strange foe brings out the loveable dynamic and fighting-style of the Turtles. The spotlight on the Turtles' camaraderie is heartwarming and the definite draw of the series. Now for April to create her own established role among the cast. Read Full Review
The art and action are great, but there isn't much to chew on story wise. The one liners will beat you down, too. It'll get to the point where you'll be looking for them, which makes you realize there isn't much story here besides one large action sequence. The kids will love it though, but anyone older than 16 will probably find this a bit boring. Read Full Review
Where I though the first issue did a terrific job of kicking off the new series, issue #2 is solid and enjoyable comic but it's certainly a (small) step down from issue #1 (although fans of Snakeweed may enjoy this one more than I did). Worth a look. Read Full Review
If youre anything like me, (somebody who has the entire 2012 TMNT toy line), this comic should be right up your alley. Byerly and Brizuela are bringing us a comic that is entertaining enough for us, but we can also share with the kiddies. Thats no easy feat, but they have managed to pull it off. Read Full Review
