Tensions rise and wildfires blaze as spring gives way to a fiery summer. The Last Men's scout has not yet returned from his mission... and that can only mean one thing: He's now a prisoner of the Vangol. For better or worse, Cal refuses to leave a single man behind, even if that means leading the rest of his men straight into a trap and certain doom. This could mean the end of the Last Men Standing, but at least they'll go out fighting arm in arm.
The Hunger and The Dusk knows exactly who these characters are at their core and it uses that knowledge to craft a brilliant tale that never ceases to be compelling. Read Full Review

We're almost half way through this 12 issue run, and I cannot wait to see how it all plays out. I know who I'm rooting for, but much like life that is rarely possible. The Hunger and the Dusk continues to be my favorite current comic book run. Read Full Review
This series is something special.
G.Willow Wilson holds all the aces in her hands, puts every sentence where it should be, and makes no mistakes. Unwavering character and story development.
Chris Wildgoose is putting in the long hours, giving it all! No panel is rushed, each filled with emotions and story on multiple levels.
Msassyk's colors are superb, filling each panel adequately with fire and smoke, speed and action, rage or calmness.
Masterpiece.
It does not get better than this.
The best issue so far. This was a really good, character-driven issue from Wilson featuring some very nice art from Wildgoose. I thought that Wilson did a great job of building the tension between Cal and Tara, eventually resulting in Tara leaving the group. It was a relatively simple story, but Wilson just brought it together so well. Plus, if nothing else, Wildgoose makes every page look fantastic.
Excellent fast read. With slow methodical character building. If not reading this book. Why read comics at all
