Mulder has become a fugitive from a government that considers him a "secrets stealer" on the order of Julian Assange or Edward Snowden thanks to the mechanizations of "The Glasses-Wearing Man." It's up to Scully, and what allies Mulder has left, to work to clear his name and keep the government itself from falling further into the villain's clutches.

If you're a big fan of the X-Files or someone who's getting into the series but wants more The X-Files Season 11 is a good pick-up. It's got enough detail to engage but is accessible enough to still be enjoyable even if you don't know every episode by heart. There's also more than enough Sci-Fi weirdness and conspiracy malarkey to keep any X-Files fan happy. Read Full Review

We The Nerdy - Jack Johnston Aug 12, 2015

I would describe the premiere of season eleven as luke-warm maybe even flaccid. After such a long wait, great expectations were built, but unfortunately these have yet to bemet. It feels as though the issue was approached as though it were the first episode of a newseason in a long running TV show. But the problem is a single issue doesn't have the real-estate an episode of the show did and so the recapping and explanationsfeel forced. You can almost see what had to be cut out to fit them in. I think that the first trade paperbackwill probably succeed in having all the plotand characterdevelopmentthe first two to three episodes of the show might have had and should be the point people jump in. As for the single issue my opinion is much the same as for the annual, if you just can't wait get it, you can reread season 10 and wait for the TPB. Read Full Review

X-Files Season 11 is a great introduction point for either readers looking to enter this franchise, or long term fans eyeing up some reading material prior to the new mini-series. It does however still have something to prove, being a little too slow at times. Read Full Review

"The X-Files: Season 11" #1 is off to a slow start but there's a lot here that can and most likely will payoff to something big. It happened in season 10 and I have little doubt that it won't happen here. Read Full Review

Infinite Comix - Tim Stacey Aug 12, 2015

The start of The X-File's eleventh season is " in the spirit of most late series X-Files " a bit inaccessible. While writer Joe Harris' core concept of Agent Mulder on the run and Agent Scully working within the FBI to clear his name rings true of many different plots from the show, the particulars may be a little difficult to follow. I do like where things seem to be going, especially with the evolution of Gibson Praise and his relationship to Mulder and Scully. It's just tad disappointing to be off to such a slow start. Read Full Review
