Shattered Glass isn't your average Transformers tale... "Shards" is the story of the ongoing battle between the power-hungry Autobot autocrats and the freedom-fighting Decepticon laborers. Join author Danny Lore (James Bond, King in Black: Captain America, Champions) in exploring this fractured alternate universe just before it shatters.
In issue #1, many kilocycles after the Cybertronian War has destroyed Earth, Blurr, an evil Autobot Seeker, hunts his newest bounty who holds a piece of information that could reignite the war.
Every panel of this book just sings with action, color and motion. The limited cast allows us to focus on characterization and what begins as a study of Blurr is clearly simply a feint as the issue showcases how deadly Starscream is in any reality. Read Full Review

Lore does a nice job ingratiating himself into theTransformersfranchise and gives each character a unique voice and moves the story along at a nice pace, even with the exposition for how Cybertron and its characters got to where it is now. The combined artwork from Guidi and Bove creates a very vibrant issue that has some fun with how drastic the characters look and act. As tired as the alternate universe trope can sometimes be in franchises, this is definitely something Transformers fans should check out. Read Full Review

Solid opening start to the mini.
We've got veteran Transformers artist Guido Guidi drawing some sort of alternate timeline, with quite the bait-and-switch of a first issue.
