Modern dating is rough. No one likes being on the apps, but it’s not much easier meeting people IRL. Especially when they might turn you into a vampire without warning. This is exactly what happened to Syd. She was only trying to get over her toxic ex — whom she may still drunkenly text from time to time — not looking to have her life totally changed. A fun read, for sure, but also one that didn't give me as much to sink my teeth into as much as I was hoping. I'm definitely still along for the ride, but I'm hoping things step up a bit in the next issue. I still like the premise and, based off of what I read here, still feel that this has higher potential. Though, Randolph's interiors were really nice here. One of the best parts of the book, for sure.
