You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

Above all, Anna comes across as a very profoundly well defined person. Mrs. Quintin accomplishment given the fact that this is the first time she's ever made appearance. She's the center of the issue. But she takes the center of the in so many ways so well. It is really a very striking single issue story that feeds into Camps larger narrative beautifully. Assorted Crisis Events #5 is a masterclass in emotional storytelling and visual experimentation, using the comic form itself to explore the inescapable loops of trauma. It's a bold, moving issue that rewards careful reading and reinforces why this series is one of the most daring in comics today. Read Full Review

    Nerd Initiative - Richard Coryell

Assorted Crisis Events #5 tells a tale that really hits home for a lot of people unfortunately. The moral and message of the story does really shine through and is a big kudos to Deniz Camp. Unfortunately, outside of the message the story is very confusing and at times hard to follow. Confusion is a part of the story, but when the reader cant make heads or tales of whats going on through multiple pages, makes for a rough read. Read Full Review

    Screaming Enigma

I didn't like this quite as much as the last two issues, but this one still reinforces my feelings that this is a, truly, fantastic book. I continue to absolutely love this book with every issue that comes out, and I hope it's a series that ends up running for a long time. Camp & Zawadzki's depiction of trauma and everything that can come with it was, genuinely, outstanding. Zawadzki, especially, gets to shine here with his page and panel layouts. He really plays with and changes around the typical characteristics of those, which helps to provide a much more unique experience while reading.
