Grant spent his life rationalizing and avoiding his small, personal problems by trying to fix the grandiose ones. In his mind, this sacrifice is necessary. If he didn't save the world, his family wouldn't have a future. But now, even that has backfired, leading Grant to a showdown with a boundless army and himself.
A great resolution of one plot brings about some shit we just weren't ready for in the next one. Excitement for how this book progresses is at an all time high, which is ridiculous for how great this book has been throughout its run. Read Full Review
As we draw closer to the inevitable ending, Black Science ramps up the action. Remender has done a wonderful job of setting up his dominoes, now we all get to enjoy it as everything tumbles towards the conclusion. This was a particularly good issue, with one of the best cliffhangers I've seen in awhile, and a five-eyed, six-armed, interdimensional ape-god that wants to rip everyone's face off, for good measure.
