Imagination Centre - John McCubbin
Nov 06, 2013Silvestri does a brilliant job of retelling Killjoy's origin in a fresh and interesting fashion, adding a lot of excitement and mystery to this issue. The issue would also be very new reader friendly, as although it would probably be better for people who read the first part, it is easy enough to pick the series up from this issue without getting confused. Due to all this I'd highly recommend this issue and can't wait to read the next, and will try and get the back issues to read in the meantime. Read Full Review

Nov 07, 2013Anyway, that's just my opinion. So in closing, I just want to reiterate that I liked this issue. I like the series in general, but I do have some concerns as you can see. I suggest that you give issue six a read if you haven't already, and then go pick this up. If you want to follow a series that is a lot of fun and full of pretty cool stuff, look no further. Review (Originally Posted on Images Unplugged) Cover & Solicit 4/5 This issues cover is drawn by the awesome Marc Silvestri. It depicts Ripclaw in the final clings of live as he reaches out for his already dead family. Art, Colors & Inking 4/5 Like last issue, the art was done by Marco Turini (Squadron Supreme, Ant Unleashed) who took over for Marc Silvestri. Marco's art again has me on the fence. The characters look good, and he draws the techno-cybernetics great but there seems to be a lack of detail. I'm also not a fan of the coloring done by both Andy Troy (Spawn, Wolverine Origins) in this issue. For a lot of the issue the colo more

An entertaining read that i enjoyed more then i expected. Action and characters outside the box, written well. The art has dropped fro the 1st arc, but still worth the $ overall.
