Keeping the peace between heaven and hell is no easy task. The only thing that could make it even more difficult is dealing with a couple of middle schoolers who keep running away from you and acting like… well, middle schoolers. I'm absolutely loving how the overall mission in Hornsby & Halo is biblical. However, the actual mission seems anything but. Plot
The Adjudicator approaches Rose and Zach and tries to explain who they are and what's going on, but both teens get scared and try to escape. The Adjudicator is a powerful being.

At the drive-in, Rose and Zach hide in a terrified coon of candy, and the bus driver, Mr. Wenders, arrives. He reveals that he is the Adjudicator and that for years he has posed as different people to protect them, such as Mr. Stargell, the Grave Digger, Yaphet Freeman, and even Police Captain Warwick.

They both ask him to explain in Mr. Wenders's guise. He makes it clear that their existence is what can prevent a war between Heaven and Hell, but that the best way to make them understand is to take them on an astral journey.
