Big Comic Page - Martin Doyle Jun 3, 2015

As debut series go, Nonplayer is right up there with the very best, being extremely ambitious in terms of scale and content. Lets just say if I wore a hat, it would be most sincerely be doffed in Nate Simpsons direction. Read Full Review

Assuming everything is back on track, even forgiving the odd break here or there because, come on, look at that art,Nonplayershould most certainly be hitting the top of your pull lists as it builds back the momentum that was started with the first issue. For people to care for so long about a single issue has to say something about what Nate Simpson started here and for fans who have been waiting patientlyor not so patiently in some casesthis is like winning the comic book lottery. For those that havent picked this up and let the first one slip past their radar well, hey, its back now and there are no excuses. If youre still not convinced, go pick it up. Its only $2.99 and at that price, it absolutely feels like youre stealing it. Read Full Review

Doom Rocket - Scott Southard Jun 8, 2015

I trust that as the book progresses (Simpson's goal is to write one issue per year until 2020. Tragedy, I know), much of the shifting perspectives will illuminate the unfolding story more and more, and ultimately paint an increasingly interesting picture of a world we'll see one way or another as technological consumer evolution continues. I'm enraptured within the finely curated Nonplayer world, and I'm okay to wait for however many years it takes for it to end. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Robert Reed Jun 4, 2015

Nonplayer#2 is a solid return for the long-delayed series. Nate Simpson's artwork still dazzles, and while the plot is somewhat dense (especially for those who have not read the first issue), the book offers a lot of promise for things to come. This is a chapter that greatly expands the world beyond the limited scope of the first entry.Nonplayer #2 is a book that is well worth a look for all science fiction fans, especially those who like a blend of fantasy with their sci-fi. Newsarama - Pierce Lydon Jun 2, 2015

Nonplayer #2 isn't as exciting as it's debut but its existence means that we'll soon see more of this world. This issue lacks a real anchor character to help guide us through but with the context of the debut, it isn't that hard to put together. Simpson is playing with a lot of themes and ideas that hopefully won't weigh down the narrative but instead enrich and enhance the reading experience as it continues. For now, we'll wait with with bated breath for #3. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Jun 4, 2015

The bottom line is that liked this issue, but too much of the drama of getting the issue has interfered with the experience of reading it and that's the worst part of all this. Read Full Review
