Comic Bastards - Andr Habet Nov 18, 2015

There's a lot more I can say about why Pretty Deadly is one of my current favorite comics, but I'll leave that for future reviews. If like me you hesitated in checking this out because of its Western setting, I definitely think you ought to give a shot and be surprised by how engrossing this comic is regardless of how you feel about six-shooters and chaps. For a book largely about death, this comic has a ton of vivacity to it that makes each page worth mulling over long after you've read it. Death is at the door once again. Say hello. Read Full Review

    Comicsverse - Jamie Rice Nov 19, 2015

Basically, this comic is art, and if you have an hour to kill, then you should sit with this issue. Don't go to the MOMA or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Trust me, this issue will be enough to satisfy your artistic side for days. Read Full Review

The Rainbow Hub - Ashley Leckwold Nov 19, 2015

Pretty Deadly has always been a lot of things, and that's especially true in the start of this new arc. We're introduced to the world again, only to have the reader whisked away to the Western front as there is a race against time to get a boy home before his mother dies. Deconnick, Ros and Bellaire create an atmosphere that changes to warm and familiar to cold and unforgiving without missing a beat. The story may be more streamlined, but as evidenced by the reappearance of Ginny and Alice, this won't be an easy story. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Jordan Richards Nov 18, 2015

Pretty Deadly #6 boasts beautiful artwork and the same level of flowery writing as before for those who like it. However, beyond that, the comic is a misfire. For such a hyped comic that I'm sure many people were waiting for, this comic left a lot to be desired in the story and character departments. There's barely a story to speak of and there's not much characterization to go around. If you liked the series before the break, go into this one with very low expectations or wait for the next issue before buying it. If you didn't like the series, this issue won't change your mind in the slightest. Read Full Review
