"THE COLOSSAL MAGIC NOTHING," Part Three
A mysterious reality wizard continues to wreak havoc in Palisade, and even a thorough stabbing won't slow him down. Good thing a deadly adventure has taken the Rat Queens far from town.
It is with the events of Rat Queens #8 that the ball truly gets rolling in ‘The Colossal Magic Nothing'. There are still plenty of questions to be answered, and it is that mystery which keeps us engaged. This wizard is twisting the world to his whim, and it is having unimaginable consequences for everyone who doesn't seem to be a certain smidgen. Read Full Review
Hallucination? Psychological dreamscape? At this point I'm not exactly sure what's going on except that Betty feels as scattered and unsure as I do. I miss Braga too, and I remember Vi. These are our beloved Rat Queens, so that means everything will be fine, right? Read Full Review
The artwork for this issue was fantastic, as usual. The second go round of the Rat Queens is really hitting it's stride with this latest arc. I'm loving the story and the decision to have Betty be the only one who knows something is amiss is a great choice. The opening pages of Hannah and Sawyer going to the prison are absolutely beautiful followed by the bright and fun art I expect from the Rat Queens. Where this story goes from here is very unpredictable and can't wait for the story to continue.
