Here, Moore's final script provides a nice segue into Erik Larsen's tenure on the book (Larsen provides the art for this issue with Cory Hamscher), and unlike the previous issue, this IS a cliffhanger. This means that what would have been Moore's final issue will instead be written at least partially by Larsen, and I'm not 100% sure how I feel about that. But then, it's pretty churlish to complain when a long lost chapter to a beloved series has just landed at my feet. That's still one more issue than I had any right to expect. Read Full Review
There's little that can be said about Alan Moore that hasn't been said before. Everyone and their mother have read “Watchmen” and “V for Vendetta,” but if you have yet to delve deeper into the oeuvre of the most famous name in comics, his final issue of “Supreme” is as good enough a place to start as any. Me? I am going to try my best to find the out-of-print trade for “The Story of the Year” somewhere. Read Full Review

After years in exile once again Supereme has returned to the Image Universe, with a terrific final issue from Moore that's a perfect reintroduction to the character. I'll be interested to see where Larken takes the character from here. Best of the week. Read Full Review

"Supreme" #63 is a pleasant epilogue to Moore's "Supreme" run, even as it serves up an excellent cliffhanger for Larsen to move forward. The sky was always the limit in "Supreme," and I feel like it's even more so in its final pages. Where is Larsen going to take "Supreme?" Thanks to Moore, the answer is clearly, "Wherever he can possibly imagine." This is an excellent way to depart a series, even as it provides a final chapter that I didn't realize I had been missing. While a bit uneven, Supreme #63 is still a really good comic. The story is a solid introduction to the characters both the heroes and the villains. While there is not a lot of action it helps us get to know the world better and gets us as readers interested in what happens next, which looks to be great. So as a first issue, despite some references that may throw you off, its still good. And while it may not have reached the hype I had personally for it, I'm still happy to be reading it and looking forward to more. Read Full Review
Larsen is taking over full creative on this title beginning with issue 64, so hopefully he can clean up the mess begun with Moores old script and bring the same artistic sense that has kept Savage Dragon around for so long. It is possible, had I read the Moore run leading up to this issue that I would have liked the book more, but as a jump on point, it is almost incomprehensible. A less than auspicious beginning to a book with such a pedigree. Read Full Review
