    The hero's reluctance aside, Remender and Powells story DOES have a steady rhythm to it that feels appealing enough to guide it through the next several issues at least. The central conflict with the alchemical bomb IS appealing. It could have easily been expanded to fill the entire issue, but Remender and Powell spend 12 pages or so establishing Ernie Rays relationship with Central Authority for the fourth issue. Its quite a lot of space to invest in the coming conflicts. Remender and Powell better make that next issue worth the investment. Read Full Review

    The Scumbag is a brilliantly funny form of escapism. It has all the qualities of a superhero comic without the capes and cowls. A series which should appeal to fans of Deadpool or Preacher and is some light hearted fun while still being a gripping and engaging story. Read Full Review
