Transformers #23 sets the stage for the finale of Daniel Warren Johnson and Jorge Corona to be as epic as it could possibly be. The dramatic tension is off the charts as important decisions are made by both the Autobots and Decepticons. The difference in where each side helps add greater anticipation to find out how this story will end. Read Full Review

    Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez

TRANSFORMERS #23 is a punch to the spark and a feast for the senses, a war epic unafraid to sling emotional shrapnel with precision. The writing and art fuse into a relentless crescendo of hope, sacrifice, and doomed bravado, delivering everything you could want (and dread) from a penultimate issue in the arc. There are no safe spaces and no easy answers. Just soaring robots, ruined skylines, and the world's biggest fight for what little good is left. Read Full Review

Daniel Warren Johnson and Jorge Corona nailed it with transformers #23! Megatron's frustration with Starscream is turned up to 11 in this issue, though much more intense it echos the G1 cartoon perfectly. Prime's journey through the Matrix reminds me of the season three mini-series Five Faces of Darkness where Rodimus Prime does the same, however the corruption of the Matrix makes this journey more interesting. The final fate of Sparkplug (Sparky) and Spike seems to come to it's conclusion with this issue and though it's hurried it is satisfying. Ultra Magnus is written so well and drawn even better ... the BIG two page splash was epic. Without revealing too much - I'll just say - THIS is an issue you will not want to miss and it should be more
