Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
Oct 18, 2026Transformers #37 does an excellent job taking us on a journey as Elita Prime continues to grow as the Autobots leader. That growth comes as both Elita Prime’s strengths and weaknesses shine through. In showing this we once again see how she is a different type of leader from Optimus Prime and is what the Autobots need right now. At the same time we see Soundwave make big moves. These moves create a lot more intrigue around how the war between the Autobots and Decepticons could turn out. Read Full Review

Oct 16, 2026Ben Abernathy and the editorial crew have helped keep this corner of the Energon Universe moving with purpose, and Transformers #37 continues that momentum. Kirkman understands the appeal of these characters goes way beyond transforming vehicles and blowing stuff up. We’ve had decades of giant robot warfare, familia. The fights are cool, the transformations are legendary, but it’s the personalities that keep us coming back. Elita Prime’s proving she can carry that legacy without living in Optimus’s shadow. She’s stubborn, courageous, wounded, and ready to throw hands with destiny itself. I respect the hell outta that! This issue delivers strong character work, gorgeous artwork, and enough Cybertronian chaos to keep an old-school Transformers fan grinning. Read Full Review

Comical Opinions - Gabriel Hernandez
Oct 14, 2026Transformers #37 brings all focus back to Elita Prime as she uses her upgrade to turn the tide of war. Robert Kirman finally pares down the subplot overload to tell a complete story, and Karl Kerschl’s artwork is top-notch. That said, the narrative flow of the issues comes off as clunky. It's not bad, but it's sloppy. And a little boring.
