Pretty good issue with the only downside being that Sara seemed a little too reluctant to use the Witchblade in her defense, which isn't all that big a deal really when you come to think of it and consider the cliffhanger ending. Read Full Review
If I have one quibble, it's that the whole 'will this be supernatural or not' speculation at the beginning of the story is a little eye-roll worthy. We all know it will be, so it was a little tedious having so much dialogue dedicated to subject. But other than that, some great interaction between Pezzini and Rooney (and a new character), a fantastic action sequence, and a good story combine with a good hook into the series' deeper mythology combine together to give us another excellent issue. Witchblade is probably the best book that youre not reading, and dont let the massive number count put you off. Although there is nothing new in this issue in terms of originality, with the way that its presented it doesnt really matter, with it being a pretty good read in term of quality. If youre looking for a good comic with some awesome female lead characters then this is one of the best ones out there, and once again, the fantastic creative team of Marz, Braga and Gonia havent disappointed. Witchblade #179 proves that Sara Pezzini, our tough as nails bearer, has been around the supernatural block more times then she would probably care to count. But I'm just as eager to peruse her exploits as I was when I first dived into the series back in 2000. Recommended. Read Full Review
While I enjoyed this overall, it seemed kind of pointless and lazy the way the issue wraps up the conflict. Also, what idiot isn't concerned about the size of that footprint?
