I'm shocked Larroca still gets work. Like Greg Land, they are serial tracers. So disappointing that Marvel continues to hire them.
THE END OF PARADISE!
• Jane and her people have been imprisoned with a group of facehuggers!
• Jane has one last chance to escape, but will her disease be her doom?
PARENTAL ADVISORY
All in all a great action packed finish to the next chapter. With crisp, clean art and well defined pacing and plot. I cant wait to see what comes next. Read Full Review
Larroca delivers some visually scary and thrilling moments throughout the issue. The story brilliantly utilizes light and shadow to convey the mood of the moment. Read Full Review
Alien #12 concludes the story arc on Euridice. How Jane and the survivors make it out is believable for the story it's in, but how everything else proceeds is somewhat predictable for an Alien story. By the end, things are wrapped up between all of the relevant characters as neatly as possible as the comic prepares for the next story arc. Read Full Review
Alien #12 ends the arc on a mediocre note. The surprise revelations are neither new nor surprising, and the few bits that are truly new seem irrelevant to the main story. The art is serviceable in closeups and focused panels, but the splash panels look awful in a few places. Read Full Review
It's clear there are some ideas of interest embedded in Alien, but it remains uncertain whether they'll be worth following in a series that regularly relies on well-worn tropes and mediocre representations of forms that should be frightening. Read Full Review
Decent enough ending to the story. Lots of good Alien action. Overall enjoyable 12 issue read.
The comic is going pretty well until the adult aliens show up looking like posed plastic toys. How is this still the case 12 issues deep? There is actyally an interesting plot revelation in this issue that I should be gushing over, but the things that steal the spotlight are the glaringly stiff, floating xenomorphs.
...I don't even know what to say beyond the usual. The art is terrible, but the story is pretty good. I really hope the relaunch has better art. It is crucial.
