Sep 30, 2026Aliens vs. X-Men #1 (of 4) is a visually over-the-top and narratively thin issue that reads like an artifact of the notoriously edgy 90s. Read Full Review

Oct 04, 2026This story is a little overwritten, but I’m here for the evil, villainous sapphic vibes between Kitty and Magik. Read Full Review

Oct 01, 2026So yeah, Alien vs. X-Men #1 got me. This could have been dumb fun and I probably would’ve been cool with that, because c’mon, Wolverine fighting Xenomorphs? Take my damn money. But Gillen, Borges, Dalhouse and Lanham found an actual reason for these universes to collide, while Claremont, Messina and Beredo remind us that cosmic horror has been living in X-Men DNA for a long minute. It isn’t flawless, the cast is crowded and sometimes the story wants to sprint when I wouldn’t mind it walking for another page, but there’s a wicked concept underneath all the claws, teeth and acid. Mutant evolution meets Xenomorph evolution. What could possibly go wrong? Fam, EVERYTHING. That’s why I’m coming back! Read Full Review

Oct 04, 2026I want to keep enjoying Alien vs. X-Men. I will continue reading this, but I hope my gaps in knowledge of the different members of the X-Men or X-adjacent characters in general won’t take me out of this story. As I said before, it is a huge blockbuster crossover that, at the very least, would just be pretty to look at. I do like how it is just a simple crossover that won’t seem to impact the Marvel universe as we know it. Read Full Review

Plot
This crossover features two stories by two different creative teams:
-ALIEN VS. X-MEN by Kieron Gillen and Geraldo Borges: The X-Men are in space searching for a Phoenix egg but stumble upon a Xenomorph egg instead. Cyclops, Emma Frost, Kitty Pryde, Beast, and Wolverine are attacked by facehuggers that inherit the mutant powers of their hosts; because Wolverine regenerates, he is repeatedly impregnated by the facehuggers.
Back at the X-Mansion, Hope, Storm, Cannonball, Colossus, Psylocke, Gambit, and Jubilee witness the arrival of the Blackbird, from which a horde of Xenomorphs—sporting Wolverine-like claws—emerges. All seems lost, as these Xenomorphs are advanced and possess unique powers.
