There's a lot to like here but there are certainly a number of edges that could have used some shaving if this wanted to go down as one of the best Black Panther stories. Read Full Review

Black Panther Legends #3 doesn't give me the conflict I wanted for this comic issue. Read Full Review

There's nothing particularly surprising in this slightly-tweaked tale of earning Pantherhood through ritual combat. The script's solidly structured and it makes plenty of room for dynamic combat art. The way the characters clash and connect is predictable, but those relationships serve well to drive the plot.

This is a solid (not spectacular) comic for readers just getting started with the medium.

This is fine for what it's meant to be, which is a children's comic that gives a nice, easily digestible version of Black Panther's origin. I wish I could rank it higher because literally the only other review for this series is from an actual racist, but I'm not going to inflate my score because this site allows racists. Tochi Onyebuchi is a civil rights lawyer turned science fiction writer. If anyone is a good fit for a Sam Wilson Cap series, it's him.

This is atrocious, just bad all around. Hunter comes across a douchebag, T'Challa comes across as a douchebag, the "fights" are boring. Why did they gave this guy a Captain America book? I mean, we all know why they gave it to him but he just doesn't deserve it.
