Captain America / Iron Man #3 tries to have fun with heartfelt moments between our lead heroes, and a cool robot battle but fails at everything else. Eden's plan is nonsense, her "partnership" is nonsense, and despite some very fine art, this series as a whole is turning into pure nonsense. Read Full Review

Marvel has so much potential with these characters and rather than focusing on what makes Iron Man and Captain America unique, this story wallows in past continuity and focuses on side characters we have no reason to care about. Read Full Review

I'm still laughing, but the ice under the creator's pet protagonist is definitely starting to crack. The book's greatest objective strength remains its art, which is truly outstanding. Angel Unzueta has a rock-solid grasp of conventional superhero visuals. It's cool to see him stretching himself, too, trying out a range of exaggerated "funny faces" on Veronica. I don't think they're perfect yet, but I like watching Mr. Unzueta experiment. Derek Landy must be one charming MF'er to talk editors into letting him do goofy sitcom comics with A-list heroes and top-shelf artists.

Yeah, this was pretty boring and I just don't find Veronica Eden such an interesting character as Landy insists she is, I find her pretty juvenile.

She has Great Value Harley Quinn vibes. I agree with you here, the writer is asking too much of a very shallow character.

What annoys me is that he tries to sell her as a character with a vision, someone who doesn't see the world in black and white and honestly there's nothing interesting about her, nothing that separates her from the usual villains. Btw, I saw your review here, there will be two Captain America series that will launch after a Captain America #0.

One will be written by Lanzing & Kelly (the guys who wrote the Devil's Reign: Winter Soldier one-shot which is a prelude to Bucky's role in the future run btw) with Steve Rogers as Cap and one written by Tochi Onyebuchi. My main interest is in the first one, though I'll probably give the second one a shot too, at least for a few issues.

I'm pretty much obsessed with everything Captain America and Alex Ross. That's about it. Kind of a skippable title, but that also might be because I'm mad we don't have a solo Cap Run right now.
