I think the most appropriate/ironic way to critique this comic is to demonstrate subtle contempt for the material by ignoring it and concentrating on a tangent that mainly serves to demonstrate my own smarts. Thus:
The author uses the term "feral" with scrupulous accuracy, as it technically applies to domesticated animals that have escaped into the wild.
