Blue Raven Comics - Clark Bullock May 10, 2012

This is book is so good. Point blank. Matt Fraction shows exactly why he is an award winning writer in this one. There is action, mystery, suspense, romance. Everything you could ask for in a plot is here. The art is also spectacular. This is very surprising considering there are multiple artist changes in these first few issues. The characters look beautiful and the settings are the icing on the cake. Mountains, ocean, New York City- it all looks fantastic. I can't wait to see where this story goes but it's definitely going on my favorites list at this point. I suggest this book to all comic readers. I give this a 10/10. Read Full Review

Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson May 5, 2012

The lineup of the Defenders is one of most fascinating in Marvel's current lineup (perhaps even in their history, although the New Fantastic Four had it's moments) and even though most of the heroes have decades behind them, there are still new moments to be had, as with this month's Iron Fist/Silver Surfer pairing. The art is on the money, while Fraction's story keeps the weird characters uniquely weird, doesn't neglect the characters' personal lives, but keeps the story moving. I know that Fat Cobra probably won't be joining the Defenders, but there's a tiny part of me that hopes he'll at least stay in the supporting cast, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this twisty-turny story goes. The Defenders #6 keeps bringing the good stuff, the weird stuff and the absolutely intriguing stuff, earning 4.5 out of 5 stars overall. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Ryan K. Lindsay May 7, 2012

"The Defenders" #6 is yet another installment that is good, highly enjoyable, but not yet great. The promise continues to build and perhaps reread together in a collection the lines will be connected more easily and enjoyably, but for now this title fills a nebulous void. It's a silent crescendo and the audience can only wait so long. Read Full Review

    Outer Realm Comics - Matthew S May 4, 2012

While this has been one of the weaker Defenders issues in terms of storytelling and art, it is an issue where some important developments are made and, most importantly, a lot of fun is to be had. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - Alex Evans May 4, 2012

Solid artwork and an engaged writer with his heart in the game nonetheless give us an issue built around poorly explained plot elements and ham-fisted, out of the left field retcons. Read Full Review
