Apr 29, 2026This one shot is powerful and intriguing. Everything about this comic was perfect except its status as a one-shot. Doom 2099 is further developed as a character feeling just as powerful as any other Doom with the added development of being more introspective. Ultron served as a brilliant villain for this narrative. Simply put Marvel, I need more Doom 2099. Read Full Review

Apr 29, 2026Check Out My Review of THE PUNISHER #1Final Thoughts:Doom 2099: Rage of Doom #1 is a tremendous one-shot with a lot to offer comic fans across the board. The story is captivating, while the artwork captures the essence of the story nearly perfectly. The only real qualm I have is that this is a one and done and not an on-going series. This should be a slam dunk pick up at the shops this week and with some cool covers it should also be a must grab for collectors as well. Read Full Review

Apr 29, 2026Doom 2099: Rage of Doom #1 looks great and carries an intriguing premise, but it operates more as a bridge than a destination. The issue checks in on Doom’s bleak status quo and teases bigger things ahead, yet it rarely digs into what makes this version of the character tick. There is enough here to keep fans curious, though the long gaps between chapters may test that patience. Read Full Review

Apr 29, 2026There are times when the editors find the best possible creative team for a book, and that’s the case with Doom 2099: Rage of Doom #1. Tieri and Randal give readers an exciting, action packed comic from start to finish. It indulges in some Doom cliches and isn’t very deep, but it’s still a good comic. Not every book has to be a character/genre-redefining masterpiece. Sometimes, you just want something simple and fun, and that’s this book in spades. Read Full Review

I have always loved Doom. His power, brilliance and arrogance are intriguing. Doom 2099 was pretty good and this book by Tieri and Randal is another in that line. The story itself is simple. Doom has won, having killed everything on the planet. The world is just Doom and the Doombots who help him try to undo what he's done via time travel. Doom finds he's unable to reverse it and instead looks to Ultron. Thats the whole story in this one shot. Its basic and it's perhaps the only thing bad about it. Anyone will have seen the twist coming from 5 miles away when you read 4-5 pages in.Its also the first line is the Solicit. The art is very good and Randal did beautiful work. Overall it's an easy read, it's fun and beautiful to look at. On a 5 more
