  Doomquest #4 turns its time-travel premise inward, giving Doctor Doom perhaps the most difficult challenge yet: the opportunity to live the life he might have had with Valeria. Ryan North spends much of the issue making that alternate existence feel genuinely happy and fulfilling, which gives the eventual turn tremendous weight. Francesco Mobili's double-page layouts beautifully convey entire stretches of Victor's life, helping sell the idea that this isn't some fleeting fantasy. The result is a surprisingly emotional Doctor Doom story that ultimately arrives at a cold, tragic reminder of exactly who Victor is. Read Full Review

  Doomquest #4 is a frankly brutal issue that will never have me looking at Victor Von Doom in quite the same way ever again. Here he gets the chance to live the life he never could with his one great love, and the results are both completely expected and also utterly horrifying.
