Wow, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was definitely inspired a lot by this comic
I like this issue. It starts out as a possible cataclysmic event. As they go deeper into EGO the team members begin to drop off until only Ben remains. Then, when he finally makes it there, the plan doesn't even work. I found that extremely humorous. But it scares EGO enough to make him accidentally kill himself. I just didn't see that coming. Byrne probably has one of the best FF runs of all time.

The FF arrive at Ego the Living Planet, who is intent on destroying Earth for harboring Galactus. After fighting through Ego's defenses, they take a power unit from Ego's propulsion unit. Ben must carry the unit to Ego's brain in an attempt to disable him. (Cover date: October, 1981)
