Trapped on Knowhere, the Guardians desperately race to uncover their Skrull infiltrator. But why are the Skrulls in the Guardians' bizarre HQ, and what exactly are they up to?
Again, with this story Abnett and Lanning present a perfect model for how a tie-in should be written. Even while fulfilling its required duties, this arc never abandoned the title's quirky disposition. There is not a single better example in the crowded field of mainstream comics of a book that entertains with youthful sensibilities, while maintaining a sharp, chic wit. Every issue of Guardians of Galaxy thus far has been a wild adventure, exploring the far reaches of sci-fi fantasy and group dynamics. It embraces the rich character interactions of classic X-Men and Avengers without irony or an overbearing sense of nostalgia. Guardians of the Galaxy 6 delivers a killer plot twist as to why Cosmo was helping the Skrulls while the mystery surrounding Major Victory deepens. Fantastic issue
