It's October 31st at E.S.U. so you know what that means: A Halloween party won't go as planned and a bunch of powerless kids will be in a lot of trouble! Hallows' Eve was once powerless and was once a victim. Now she's anything but. Her magical masks give her the ability to help - but Eve isn't a hero, is she?

Hallow's Eve is a character I haven't given much attention to, but all it took was seeing her slip on a Captain America mask to make me fall in love with her. Read Full Review

Hallow's Eve: The Big Night is a fun Halloween caper, although too simple for its own good. Very little is done with the character leaning more into the Halloween fun. Read Full Review

This shows off her abilities more and really shows how fun and versatile of a character she can be. Honestly one of only good things to come out of Well's run. Erica does a solid job on this issue, with a little comedy, good action, and some underlying character conflict of a person on the wrong side of things seeing what it is like to be the hero. Eve does a whole lot of good for someone who considers herself a bad person. I would like to see her break Ben out and go try to be heroes together (after an arc or two of her rehabilitating him of course). She is a fun character that I hope is developed slowly over time and get more time to shine in the future.

Also this is a Halloween issue done well so bonus points for that.

This is a cute story that adds some fun new content to the protagonist's bag of tricks (literally). It's not at all consequential, though. This feels like it'd be better suited as an annual in an ongoing run, not a one-shot capping off a miniseries. The frivolity of the plot is balanced out with solid writing and good art. The only real regret is that this is the last Hallows' Eve story we're gonna see for a while.
