Overall, Marvel Now What is worth the 3.99 price. I'm not going to lie I was hoping for 2.99 because it is not a main comic series. Althought after reading it, I really look forward in reading issue 2 and seeing what stories they're going to have for other Marvel characters . I have to say Marvel What Now is a must grab if you enjoy comedy and love Marvel. What are some parody that you like to see Skottie Young to do ? I have to say Iron Man comes to mind along with Hulk and Maybe some more X-men will be nice. Until next time Comic Readers! Read Full Review

"Marvel Now What?!" #1 doesn't have the pedigree of Marvel's exceptional "Strange Tales II" from 2010/2011, but it's still refreshing to see this sense of humor from Marvel and more importantly that willingness to laugh at themselves. This isn't a book that will (or should) win any awards, but it will give any fan a good chuckle. Read Full Review

Still, even if some segments aren't entirely the gold standard of comedy, “Marvel Now What?!” is a unique departure from the status quo from Marvel that should definitely be encouraged. Some jokes, like Kalan's opening segment, may require some more knowledge in Marvel continuity, but it's overall accessible to anyone with an interest in Marvel. “Marvel Now What?!” isn't exactly the pinnacle of comedy, but it's still a very entertaining book created by some talented people, and in a format that will hopefully be utilized again in the future. Major Spoilers - Chris Wilson Oct 30, 2013

I couldn't believe I liked Marvel Now What?! #1 as much as I did. The majority was funny and I liked most of the artwork. As expected there are a few misfires but Marvel succeeded in getting me to buy a $3.99 book, which is a feat itself and I felt like I got $3.99 worth of enjoyment. Those looking for a fun way to kill fifteen minutes (and maybe those mad at Marvel NOW) should pick this one up. Read Full Review

    CHUD - Jeb Delia Oct 25, 2013

It's tempting to pat Marvel on the back for being able to laugh at itself this way, but there's a creepy sense that it's not coming from reaction against the rampant commercialism that's threatening to ossify the Marvel Universe (with the Star Wars universe up next): it's coming from a media giant that is so impervious to satire, or criticism of any type, that it can basically throw its most obvious cash-grabs in our faces, let out a supervillain's jeer, and dare us to do anything but pony up for the next round. Still, much of it's pretty funny, I did laugh, and thanks to writers Sara Benincasa and John Devore, I've been able to annoy people all week by declaiming "Doom demands brunch!" On balance, then, more or less a win, even if I suspect it means I've been co-opted even more than I thought. Read Full Review
