There's a lot to love in Marvel's Voices: Spider-Verse #1, be it new adventures for familiar heroes or brand new heroes entirely. At $9.99, it's a bit steep, but with the extra interviews, it feels like a good price since it's mixed media that celebrates comics and everyone's favorite Spider-Verse. Read Full Review
All of the stories are solid and have solid art, but the POV approach to Cindy Moon in "An Unraveling Web" by Jeremy Holt (art by Eric Koda and colors by Erick Arciniega) is an absolute gem. Read Full Review
This anthology showcases a variety of Spider-Verse heroes and gives creators from underrepresented backgrounds the chance to tell fun, meaningful stories with them. It's an excellent read whether you are a long-time Spider-Verse fan or just getting into the characters. Read Full Review
I think the strongest point of this anthology is that the art is uniformly excellent in every strip.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same of the writing, and the real shame is that the weakest scripting is attached to the two new spider-variants debuting here ("All premise no story" is the TLDR explanation of both of those strips' faults).
The total package isn't bad by anthology standards, though, and the visuals actually make it a treat.
