Deadpool's battle with the ambulatory dead comes to a close! Things get dark, my friends. Dark.
Cullen Bunn has made a fan for life out of me. I get the sense that he really gets to the core of every character he writes and then evolves the book into something that compliments that. This series is packed with action, but the real star of the book is the humor. I laughed at almost every page and it's not often I can say that about anything I read comics or otherwise. Not only is this book hilarious, it's also a terrific spin on a heavily saturated zombie market. I dare you to sit down and find a zombie book that's like this; I bet you'll fail. It feels original, but stays very true to what's come before it in the genre!5 out of 5 nerds Read Full Review
Deadpool and zombies, what's not to love? Cullen Bunn managed to take the best elements from both of their worlds and mesh them together. The limited series is loaded with humor yet also avoids making Deadpool a walking and talking punch line. It's not all fun and games with the Merc with a Mouth in this one and it's great to see him receive a little more emotion. Then there's all of the gore, horror and depressing elements you'd find in any standard zombie apocalypse. Ramon Rosanas then masterfully brings this all to life and, simply put, the end result is something any zombie or Deadpool fan needs to experience. I wasn't sure what to expect with this final chapter -- especially since we've seen the book undergo such drastic changes in tone -- but I've got to say, this finale did not disappoint one bit. While we know that Cullen Bunn's next Deadpool project is Deadpool vs. Carnage, this issue does leave some interesting room for a direct sequel. This series has proven that there's still potential to be found in a zombie Deadpool tale, as long as the humor is balanced out with a healthy dose of drama. Read Full Review
Gotta love Deadpool. Great series.
Sorry for the large amount of Deadpool reviews, but honestly Deadpool is arguably my favorite anti-hero of all time, right up there with Red Hood. He's personally my favorite marvel anti-hero of all time.
This entire series was very entertaining and it's sad to see it end, but at least it does so on a high note. I also enjoyed the shout out to the other Deadpool writers.
