For decades now, The Punisher has been ripping to shreds criminal organizations in fulfilling his vendetta against all scumbags after the murder of his own family. These suckers just don't learn, and that's the beauty so well portrayed in writers' Kevin Maurer and Nathan Edmondson's latest issue of The Punisher. Read Full Review

I'm really intrigued to see how Frank is going to make it through this without his normal amount of resources. This run of Punisher is only going to get better come issue #9 when the All-New Marvel Now! Black Widow entwines with the Punisher as I am a big fan of that run as well. The Punisher is a great west coast induced gangster crime story that doesn't fall short of any Marvel Fans expectations that does have some number of funny moments as well. Check it Out! All-Comic - Milo Milton Jefferies Jun 20, 2014

Punisher #7 is the start of a new arc and a new jumping on point for those of you who missed out on the previous six issues. It may not be the most original Punisher storyline ever, but despite this Edmondson and Maurer craft a strong tale that can come recommended. Read Full Review

Punisher Central - Neil Byce Jun 18, 2014

In conclusion, I really liked certain parts of this issue but it still frustrates me that the title is still missing a special something. Edmondson started this book by painting Castle as a mysterious vigilante who few people can recognize in person who can be extremely tactical to know being a character that is extremely vulnerable and is a step behind on everything. It just doesn't seem to add up is all. I really hope that the title steadily improves over the course of the next few issues or this book could see an end unfortunately sooner rather than later. Newsarama - Rob McMonigal Jun 19, 2014

The problem with the Punisher is that it's very difficult to make your story stand out. While there's nothing wrong with Kevin Maurer and Nathan Edmondson's plot here (Frank is captured at a weak moment, then inevitably busts out after being tortured), it's just a variation on a theme.
