Issue four of this series continues to be a fantastically well written, beautifully nuanced and illustrated affair that takes the story it's telling seriously, treats it's characters respectfully and what you end up with is a comic that can stand proudly side by side with the comics previously written about this moment in Rogue's past. The series has one more issue to go, and it's one that I hope spends more time with Rogue herself and in building things with Magneto that helps to connect with the original story. What we've had so far isn't bad, but I feel like it missed the point of what a lot of fans like myself enjoyed about this particular situation. Yeah, it's fun to watch Rogue going around all skimpy in the jungle, admiring Kazar, and connecting somewhat with Magneto. But it also just spent so much time on things that felt basic and boring with the mystery and war that's being manipulated and just about everything with Zaladane. It's not bad per se, but it commits the cardinal sin of just being kind of there and almost boring at times, considering expectations of having these two characters together. Read Full Review
