This is the type of story one wishes would actually be a film. Hux is sympathetic, horrible, and vengeful. His devious machinations are spectacularly wicked. The artwork compliments the story wonderfully, and the colors contribute to the otherworldliness of the story. This is the rare comic that exceeds the film. I loved this. Read Full Review
An enjoyable Hux/Kylo adventure that serves to reveal a bit about Hux while giving us more time to see these two hate each other so well. Read Full Review
While Hux might not be your favorite villain, this Age of Resistance comic paints a bigger picture of the sequel universe, while also inspiring a sick admiration for watching such a sniveling character earn the rank of General. Read Full Review
I expect that as time goes on and the films finish that we'll see a bit more of a serious Hux portrayed in the comics if he's used but more so in the novels as the gaps are filled in. With his upbringing being as brutal as it was and tied to Phasma as she came into service when he was a child, there's a lot to explore there. Tom Taylor does a good job of delving into how he handles himself within the First Order as backbiting and intrigue rule the day for those with command level positions. Kirk's artwork is solid here and fits the title better than a bunch of his other Star Wars works since so much of the style and tone has been set by dozens of other books and artists. I'd love to see this team explore more of Hux and his rise within the First Order. Read Full Review
Very impressive comic. There is a reason why Snoke never allowed Kyle to do whatever he wish with Hux and trusted his command abilities. It is great to see more of his character and it was an entertaining story at that.
Very character rich issue with a lot of insight into a character that we really don't know that well from the movies. Finally nice to see Hux get a chance to shine in this story.
