These creators need to return to Kylo in a limited series. This shows Ren to be the expert fighter and leader that he's spoken of, plus veteran trooper Ruthford is awesome. The visuals are well done, with Kylo being a beast in battle. And how can anyone complain at seeing Vader and a throng of stormtroopers bringing the hurt? The colors add to the intensity of the tale and the letters match the power on the page. This is handsome comic that shows the strength of this iconic character. Marvel, more from all involved, please! Read Full Review

Kylo Ren isn't one of my favorites from the new trilogy, though I think there's a lot of potential for making him a more engaging character through novels and comics with his backstory and past exploits. This issue again shows the rivalry that he's built up between himself and his grandfather so it's no surprise it has the edge to it that it does. But I love that Taylor ties it into a past adventure involving Vader and showing the way they both approach the issue differently and achieve similar but different results. With solid artwork from Kirk, this is a decent ending to the Age of Resistance books and has me hopeful that once the new trilogy wraps up this year that we'll have a lot more material to explore for these characters so their larger lives can begin. Reading Star Wars: Age of Resistance - Kylo Ren might not take nearly as long as watching any of the films the character is featured in, yet it gives us a succinct and captivating exploration of his mindset, his power, and the neverending quest to not only equal Vader, but surpass him. It's not a bad issue by any means. The art is mostly solid (though many artists seem to have trouble capturing his face sometimes) and the story works. It just feels inconsequential. Overall the Age of series has definitely had some gems, but I am glad that it's over now and we can move on to other stories. I'm hoping to get some big announcements out of NYCC! Can't wait to see what comes next. Read Full Review
