This book is a must-read for Maul fans who can't get enough of the ferocious Sith. Read Full Review
Another Must-Own Darth Maul tale that will thrill fans. The story has a sensational opening, teasing events hinted at in film Solo, while the action on Malachor is killer. The visuals are outstanding, with Ross and Tartaglia doing beautiful work on this horrific Sith. The only ding is the lack of sounds that would have truly captured the auditory element of the films. This book is recommended for all Star Wars fans and could be the gateway in creating new ones. Dear Marvel, can we get this team on a monthly series? " PLEASE! Read Full Review

Age of Republic - Darth Maul #1 is a dark and beautiful vignette of the Sith as a mirror to the Jedi. It could show a little more and tell a little less, but it's a strong one-shot with a deliberate and complete story within its pages, elevated by its striking artwork. Read Full Review
Star Wars: Age of Republic: Darth Maul is surely an enjoyable Star Wars story, but is underwhelmingly formulaic and unfortunately forgettable with nothing new added to the character or Star Wars mythos. Read Full Review
A dark and angst-filled Sith adventure that looks great and is decently told, but holds little weight while re-treading existing material. Read Full Review
I haven't explored a whole lot of Darth Maul material outside of the films. This issue has a nice tie in to the previous miniseries featuring Darth Maul and another great character study for the character. This series continues to be able to do a lot with limited length.
