Despite all the ups & downs the series had it ended up being a fantastic read that really paid off in the end. This issue is a fitting end to the series, and a great launching point into the next series set in the New Republic Era from Alex Segura. That series is one you're not going to want to miss, and this series is one that you should absolutely read. If you've been waiting for the end of the series to read it, you're going to binge-read the whole thing. It's a fantastic series, and the entire creative team deserve a round of applause. The Star Wars: Battle of Jakku Maxiseries trilogy, overall is a triumph by Segura and the creative teams that helped bring the story to life. Hopefully those who read this series, but not the Aftermath triolgy will take this opportunity to read the main story, thus getting the full experience and importance of how the Battle of Jakku fits into the larger Star Wars mythology. The crux of the battle is the destruction of the Super Star Destroyer Ravager. But we’ve not spent any time with the commander of the ship, or any of the imperial remnant associated with it, instead we’ve wasted time on Adelhards nonsense. Once again a climactic moment feel uneventful
The whole 12 issue story was set over a year. It was a real mistake to condense so much time into 12 issues, and do it as poorly as this. For comparison, the time between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi was also a year, and was 50 i more

A royal mess. Too many characters within the factions to keep track of. Poor, cartoonish artwork instead of cinematic realism. Poorly defined villains. Constantly changing loyalties. The series has become too hard to keep track of, and the artwork failed to complement the writing. Overall, a big disappointment for what should have been a critical chapter in the Star Wars saga.
