While I do still believe this will read better as a single collection it's also a story that I'd love to see done as a double-episode Clone Wars style animated project. I'm foolishly hopeful that someday Lucasfilm will decide to animate some of these stories to give them a wider audience. Cullen Bunn has done a solid job in a difficult area to make a compelling work. It didn't always fire on all cylinders as individual issues and it has the problem of Maul being an odd character to work with knowing his overall arc, but it worked better than I expected to. A good portion of that was Luke Ross' work as he delivered some great pages and got to work a strong lightsaber fight in this one while also having fun with bounty hunters. What a sandbox to work within! Read Full Review
This mini-series has improved quite a bit now that the focus has shifted more directly to Maul's rivalry with Jedi Padawan Eldra Kaitis. Read Full Review
A great end to a comic I really enjoyed. We haven't gotten a opportunity to see a duel like this very often in the comics. This book ties in very nicely to the Phantom Menace and you see that he has become the villain we see him as in that film. A great final scene with Palpatine tops the whole thing off.
