Everybody in this book is good at what they do, and everybody making this book is good at what they do. Watching that kind of combination come together will convince you that the Force is indeed with you. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge

The War of the Bounty Hunters wasn't a success for me as it was trying to do too much, became too drawn out, and too repetitive. It was a decent idea that would have been better across six books and then done and over with. I'm interested in seeing how Crimson Dawn is being built into a Big Bad that can be exploited post-Empire while also having Empire remnants to deal with, but that's still down the line. The material we get here has a lot going on and it's very busy, but the end result is decent enough and covers some ground that I'm interested in. It's a big picture piece that doesn't work as well when you focus on the details. Read Full Review

The final pages of the book, however, do bring with them some excitement and the opportunity of changing up the status quo of this book, which feels more promising than the rest of the issue, it'll just be up to the adventures over the horizon on whether we get any adventures that earn such a tease. Fantastic issue. Certainly an issue full of surprises. WOTBH did an excellent job of building up Crimson Dawn to the point where, at least for myself, there is the perception of Qi'ra and Crimson Dawn being formidable opponents for the Empire and not just some obscure criminal entity. Just when I start to like Ochi of Bestoon and become invested in the character and his and Vader's dynamic relationship, he turns out to be the traitor. What a twist! This all has set up not only the upcoming series Crimson Reign but also other series and shows and consequently added an element of refreshing unfamiliarity in a franchise where everything seems so familiar. So much exciting material and I cannot wait.

Sad to see this title being overshadowed by such a letdown of an event.
