The end of the issue is another example of the incredible storytelling, and jaw dropping moments that the series has become known for. And it will leave readers wondering how Vader is going to get out of the mess this time. Only the Greg Pak knows, but readers should know that it's going to be incredible and a moment to remember. With Star Wars: Darth Vader #46, the story speeds up as it goes from the build of who the Schism members are to them finally doing something other than the recruiting taking place. Like with the other Star Wars series currently running, these events take place before The Return Of The Jedi so it will be interesting to see how Pak ties the Schism story arc up so that the continuity remains intact. While the previous arc in Star Wars: Darth Vader was relatively linear, showcasing the Sith Lord developing this group of defectors, kicking off this new arc offers glimpses of that narrative momentum yet juxtaposes it with imagery that showcases the ethereal and all-encompassing nature of Vader, the Force, and the power of the Sith. Star Wars: Darth Vader #46 brings the first chapter of Vader's invasion of Exegol. Here we get to see Darth Vader and the Schism Imperial make their first big play against Emperor Palpatine by infiltrating the planet Exegol to seize its secrets. We have Raffaele Ienco back as the interior artist, which helps make the comic fun to read when it's good. The fighting isn't too intense or spectacular, but there is a neat little trick used by Vader. However, the ending does show that there's a bigger fight for Darth Vader in the next issue that could get exciting. Read Full Review
