Ewoks #1is a strong start for the series as Orlando shows from the beginning that he knows and is passionate about the Ewoks story he is telling. He also captures established characters well and seamlessly fitting this story into the larger post Return Of The Jedi story and possibly laying the groundwork for the Ewok civil war which takes place around this time. Ewoks #1 transports us back to a familiar setting with a familiar friend and foe. The Ewoks now have individuality about them, which intrigues the reader as we learn more about their species. The forest moon is ripe for adventure and this should be one Star Wars fans immediately grab from the shelves! Read Full Review
I wasn't sure what to expect from Star Wars: Ewoks #1, but I loved it. The art team works well together, with one style bringing a highly detailed realistic look and the other a more all-ages friendly cartoony vibe. As a fan of Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure growing up, I can't wait for more. It's got heart and adventure. Read Full Review
The art team of Alvaro Lopez and Laura Braga bring their own signature styles to the page, adding personality and emotion to both the world and its characters – no easy feat when the Ewoks themselves arent terribly expressive. Antonio Fabelas coloring fleshes everything out, creating a nice contrast between the dull, mostly monotone shades of an Imperial craft with the lush greens and browns of the Forest Moon. Theres a surprising amount of world-building considering we thought we knew all there was to know about the Forest Moon of Endor, and there are at least a few references that fans of the Ewoks cartoon and movies will appreciate. The inclusion of a couple fairly well-known bad guys borders on fan-service but when a storys this fun, I say sign me up. Read Full Review
