It's a spectacular issue told with splash pages filled with gorgeous art. A fun and rollicking adventure tale unburdened by decades of lore and one of the best Star Wars tales I've read in ages. Read Full Review
Dialogue is minimal, with much of the narrative carried by visuals and brief snippets from Obi-Wan's after-action report. In short, this is a fun little taleone that would work perfectly as a fast-paced animated short. Read Full Review

While one-off issues are sure to continue, as there is plenty of sandbox to play in before the events of The Phantom Menace, there should be some connection or thread that will entice readers to return for future issues. Guggenheim continues to show a firm grasp on the characters and thier voices which makes the story enjoyable even if the storu contained to a single issue. Read Full Review
Though not tied to the larger story, I found Star Wars: Jedi Knights #3 to be quite enjoyable. The story was told through beautifully rendered splash pages by Madibek Musabekov, each one a work of art. The story was pretty much all action and I was fine with that. The central characters were Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan … my two favorite Jedi so I was pleased to read another adventure with them. I still HIGHLY recommend this series … its the BEST Star Wars comic being published right now (at least up to issue 3 … I’m still catching up).
Did Guggenheim just dial this one in? I feel like he just didn't have time to write this, so he just asked the artist to do a whole bunch of splash pages where he can throw some narration and dialogue. This was a filler issue to be sure. I am looking forward to the fight with the assassin, though I don't know why they chose Qui-Gon since we know he can't die. I hope the next issue gets back on track.
