The team assembled has me excited for this run. This story has a lot of potential and exciting places we can go on this adventure. The Clone Wars era is my favorite, so I will gladly take any tale set during it, and bonus points for it being Mace Windu. I'm going to be adding this to my monthly pull list. Read Full Review

This book would benefit from being a bit more steeped in worlds and other prequel characters we are familiar with. This debut issue doesn't entirely reinvent the wheel, but it's refreshing to be getting a book featuring a cool character on a cool mission who is keeping his cool. We don't yet know what the future holds for the book, but we're thrilled to see the fan-favorite character earning a series that is as exciting as his reputation. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke Feb 7, 2024

Star Wars: Mace Windu #1 is an okay start to a story that has tons of potential. Mace Windu is not yet on the council and still serving as a solo-mission Jedi who is perfectly capable of pulling off a mission of any size. It's just that this story is too slow for its own good, with at least the next issue necessary to see if it's worth further reading. Read Full Review

An interesting start to an undercover thriller in the High Republic era, with young Mace meeting his match, with art that doesn't quite fit the tone. Read Full Review
