This entire issue is so simple but executed so well. The characters are fresh and interesting, the setting are exciting, the tone is ominous and incredible art makes this a series that raises the standards of what a Star Wars comic can be. Star Wars: The High Republic-Trail of Shadows #1combines the world ofthe High Republic with a noir tale, adding elements of horror along the way. This series is off to a great start, and the ending suggests the mystery has only begun. Read Full Review
The mysteries only get deeper in this first issue. Holt finds herself in danger and Emerick finds himself in wonder. It will be very interesting to see how these characters stories end up overlapping. Read Full Review
The idea of tying together Star Wars and detective story isn't something I expected. I really enjoyed this issue. A lot of set-up happened. I would have enjoyed more exposition with characters like Emmerick and Holt. Older did a good job of introducing an element of mystery/horror into the Star Wars world that I am not use to. This series got off to a good start and I cannot wait for issue 2.
