Overall this has been a pretty faithful adaptation of the TV show's first season and it's been fun seeing things from a slightly different perspective. Especially when it comes to the visual side of things. As far as the story goes. Rodney Barnes stayed fairly true to the events that we saw in the series. And doesn't really deviate or add very much to the story. Instead, he takes the safer route of remaining very true to the story, which is understandable given how precious we fans can be. This issue is a solid adaptation filled with great character moments, action and all the heart you would want from The Mandalorian. A bit more room across multiple issues for each episode to unfold would serve this book well as it enters into season 2. Read Full Review
Even though no issue of the book ever improved upon the series itself, there were still elements of excitement and a new interpretation of compelling sequences that some fans might enjoy revisiting when they don't have the time to watch Season 1 of The Mandalorian, making for a competently crafted yet entirely expected experience that showcases the storytelling talent of the source material.
