    The art is pretty clear, but it doesn't have many noteworthy assets beyond that. The script is full to bursting with grandiose intentions, but I think the execution falls far short of the potential. The author can't resist digressing to make a poetic point or a lame joke, and if he thinks his big ideas have earned him the right to an ambiguous ending, he is mistaken.

    This is a thoroughly average comic with a seed of greatness inside it.

    In hindsight, I seem to react to most Christopher Cantwell stories the same way. An initial burst of style and ingenuity gets me fired up and engaged. Then the author pursues tangents I find strange and off-putting. Finally, he tacks together a finale that fails to satisfy me.

    This entire experience felt rushed and disjointed, exhibiting lazy art and storytelling. As a dedicated Thanos fanboy, I found myself questioning the purpose of this. While I generally try to appreciate most things to some extent, I couldn't overlook the shortcomings of this particular mini. My reviews usually lean towards a higher average, but this was undeniably subpar.

    I'm willing to revisit all four issues to confirm my initial impression, but upon completing the fourth installment, the storyline appeared utterly nonsensical. It felt like listening to the incoherent ramblings of a gas station panhandler before ending abruptly and them asking for spare change.
