    Uncanny X-Men #492 was an excellent read. Brubaker is really hitting his stride on this title. And it is just in time with the Messiah Complex story arc kicking off. If you haven't read Uncanny X-Men in a long time or if you had been turned off by the low quality reads that have plagued this title for years, then maybe it is time you gave this title a try once again. Brubaker is beginning to work his magic with the X-Men and for the first time in over 15 years, Uncanny X-Men is once again becoming a must read comic book. Read Full Review

    As long as you can ignore the art, Uncanny X-Men #492 is a pleasing follow-up to the first issue of Messiah Complex. The storyline has many more difficult tests to face in the near future, not least of which being the impending shift between multiple writers, so far I have little reason to doubt the next two months are going to be exciting ones for mutantkind everywhere.     As Messiah Complex moves forward, I can only hope that the other X- writers follow suit with Brubaker, by focusing the story not on full- scale battle, but rather on the reassembling of a team in turmoil. House of M completely destroyed the X-Men as we knew them, which I took issue with. Now after two years, the pieces are starting to be put back together, and for the first time in a long time, I'm hopeful at the shape they seem to be taking. Read Full Review
