Nerd Initiative - Megan Nichole
Aug 21, 2024I enjoyed the plot of this comic a lot. It's interesting to see Carnage in a vulnerable state but to do everything in his power to find what he needs. I'm really interested to see where this goes. Although, I liked the writing of Venom War: Carnage #1, I did really want to see how Carnage ties into the Venom War. Time will tell on that. This kind of fell right in line with Grønbekk's mainline Carnage run, unsurprisingly. By that, I mean that this was a perfectly fine and interesting enough story with some cool violence, accompanied by some solid art from Pérez. I mentioned this in my review of Carnage #8, but I really don't see why this miniseries couldn't have been Carnage #9, #10, & #11 as Venom War tie-in issues.
